A note from Chef Jodie:
“What a great day to spoil mum, by serving up a high tea for the family and mum to share. Follow these easy recipes to create something truly royal. Make mum her favourite tea to serve with these delicious treats. Don’t forget to set the scene by placing a vase of flowers, tea set, plates, forks and spoons on the table. Add plenty of comfy chairs too.”
Tier – 1: Scones
Yes, you read that right – we’re using lemonade in this recipe. This recipe will save you a lot of time compared to a traditional scone recipe, without compromising flavour and texture. All you need are six ingredients (including the jam & cream) to make these impressive scones!Click here to view the recipe
Tier – 2: Sandwiches
Here are two sandwiches that are both equally light and tasty. The first filling is egg & watercress and the second filling is cucumber & herb butter. These sandwiches are great additions to the high tea because they’re deliciously savoury and they both accompany the other recipes, as well as tea, perfectly!
