Italy is one of the most romantic places in the world, so we’ve featured a delicious and innovative dish created by us, as well as two recipes from our friend, Luca Ciano’s, delicious cookbook ‘Luca’s Culinary Journey’ that are sure to ‘WOW’ your date.

To start off, let’s have a look at our chosen recipes for this menu…

Entree: Beetroot Carpaccio

An elegant and fresh starter to set the tone for the night. This is a lighter take on the iconic beef carpaccio, it’s colourful and it’s packed with flavour.

Some tips & tricks for our Valentine’s Day Menu:

What to do the day before:

  • Make the Tiramisu, glad wrap it and let it set in the fridge until the next day.
  • Optional: Prepare the Beetroot by peeling, slicing and starting the marination process. Let it set in the fridge until the next day.
    – It is recommended that you prepare this dish on the day, but if you do decide to prepare it the night before, please keep in mind that the texture of the beetroot will be much softer than our recipe and the taste more pronounced of the marinade and less of beetroot. It depends on your preference!

What to do on the day:

  • Prepare all of your ingredients for the Spaghetti Alla Chitarra Con Vongole.
  • Prepare and assemble the Beetroot Carpaccio.
  • Just before you serve the entree, add water to a pot and start boiling the water (medium-low heat to start with) for your pasta.
  • Have the entree first (keep in mind that you have a boiling pot on the stove)
  • Once you finish the entree, bring the pot to a boil (if it hasn’t already) and cook the Spaghetti Alla Chitarra Con Vongole.
  • Enjoy your main, and you will be pleased to know that the only thing left to do will be to scoop and plate the Tiramisu!
