It’s a popular flavour for desserts around the world. It’s a staple when it comes to gift giving. It’s one of life’s simple pleasures… and when it’s straight from the source, it’s irresistibly good. Don’t get us wrong, the chocolate treats that you can find at the supermarket are capable of satisfying your sweet tooth, but enjoying hand crafted chocolates from a chocolatier, well, that’s a whole other experience!
For all of the chocoholics out there, we’ve picked our favourite Sydney-based chocolate boutiques to share with you all. These chocolatiers have certainly raised the (chocolate)
bar when it comes to refined and high quality chocolate and we highly recommend that you visit them.

‘Kakawa’ was named after the cocoa beans that were cultivated by The OImec, who were actually the first civilisation to cultivate cocoa beans. Staying true to its chocolate roots, Kakawa chocolates are made with only the finest natural ingredients and have no preservatives or artificial flavours.
Kakawa doesn’t just stop at artisan chocolates, they also create a range of gourmet confectionery, including nougat, spreads and pralines. Plus, if you visit their Darlinghurst premises, you can try their range of elevated ice cream cookie sandwiches, which is an in store exclusive.
These are just three of some of the best chocolate boutiques that you can find in Sydney (in our opinion). Lucky for Sydney-siders and visitors, Sydney is home to some of the finest chocolatiers in Australia. Do you have a favourite that wasn’t mentioned? Give them a shoutout on our latest Instagram post!
P.S If you’re wondering what chocolate we use at the school, we use Callebaut, Cacao Berry and Lindt.
