French Bread Making & Baking Class

We all love classic French bread but often think they are too hard to achieve. In this class, we will show you how with a few basic techniques you can wow your guests with delicious, useful tips to make bread at home.

This hands on class is a great way to start your journey of bread making.

Experience how quick and easy you can make a variety of breads from scratch that smell and look amazing and flavourful.

On the menu:

  • French Baguette
    Make baguette that is light with a crusty exterior and a soft, slightly chewy interior. Make dough, shape and bake.
  • Fougasse
    Make fougasse with black olive and rosemary or semi dried tomato. Make dough, shape and bake.
  • Fig & Walnut Bread
    Make dough with blended white and rye flour with fig and walnut. Make dough, shape and bake.
  • Hummus and Tzatziki dips

Well, my sister and I are about to do our 3rd Vive Cooking School Class this weekend. We have made, french desserts, breads and now about to embark on French Tart class this weekend. The tips and tricks by Chef Mimi have been so helpful. I haven't made a bad Profiterole since attending the class. The post class recipe sheets are also great. Would be great to have a side bar mention of tips and hints on the sheets though as remembering them all after the class can be a challenge. If you have wanted to do a class but just haven't made the time, book it in.. you wont regret it. A fabulous way to spend 3hrs.

We did a team event here last night and I must say it was a wonderful experience ! We learnt how to cook a Paella with a chef who clearly knew what she was doing. Not only did she teach us some amazing techniques (gutting a squid for one) but also made it a lot of fun ! Highly recommend this to anyone looking for a fun night of team building or just a team outing.

Great class, excellent teaching and facilitators, and truly some of the best tasting food I’ve had! Partner and I went for a fun night, and the Vive team led by Seffan and Neil made sure we had an absolute ball while we learned to make some delicious Mexican. Looking forward to next class!
